Edward Laforest

Edward Laforest, born on August 13, 1952, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was 73 years old.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Laurie, and their beloved dog, Koda. Edward leaves behind nine children: Jen and her fiancé Jeff and their three children; Lynn and her fiancé Jesse and their four children; April and her fiancé Troy and their child; Michael, Ashlyn, Tony, and Jacob; as well as Mike and his fiancée Jamie and their five children; Derrick and his four children. He is also survived by his brother Joe Laforest and his wife Debbie, along with their five children and grandchildren.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Blanche and Albert Laforest; his brother Gerry; and his sister Carol.

Edward’s life was centered around family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of being outdoors—whether mowing the lawn, watching the kids play sports, or relaxing by a fire with a Budweiser in hand. His presence brought warmth to gatherings large and small, leaving a lasting impression on those around him.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kelly’s Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238. There will be no funeral services at this time.
