It is with great sorrow that the family of Vincent “Vince” Nicholas Cuevas announces his passing on November 9, 2018 at the age of 63.
Vince was born on October 6, 1955 in Norfolk, VA to the late Ray J. Cuevas, Sr. and Lola (Scanzillo) Cuevas of Lee.
Vince attended Lee schools and North Adams State College before serving his country for six years in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA and working as a Telecommunications Specialist. He went on to work for the Dow Jones and Company, “Wall Street Journal” in Virginia and NEC America, Inc. which took him back west to California.
Vince loved Las Vegas, listening to Frank Sinatra, and his family, which eventually brought him back to Lee to retire. Vince will be dearly missed.
Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Ray J. Cuevas Jr. of Lenox; a sister, Sheryl Cuevas Bercier and Daniel Marino of Connecticut; three nephews: Matthew Cuevas of Lee, Daniel Cuevas and his finance, Rebecca Webb, of Virginia and Christopher Cuevas of Pittsfield, and a niece, Michelle Cuevas and her husband, Dr. Robert Holub, of Great Barrington.
Funeral Services for Vincent Cuevas will be held Thursday, November 15, 10AM at St. Mary’s Church in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday evening, 5 - 7PM at the Kelly Funeral Home.
